OOC: another place... wow... you never expected that

Cairi walked around the city trying not to draw attention to himself, he was failing. He was about 6' 4 and easily noticeable due to the scar that covered his left eye and hooked round his cheek. He continued walking. He hadn't noticed any sorcerers yet but he wasn't looking for trouble, he had business here.

OOC: I may switch between second and first... ignore it.

BIC: I noticed a girl walking towards me, I went left down a side street. She probably wasn't a sorcerer, "getting paranoid" i muttered to myself shaking my head. I looked round to see if she had followed me.

I scowled, however there wasn't any malice in her voice so I turned round and said in my rich southern Irish accent "What can I do for you...?" I looked at her. Was she a sorcerer? I couldn't tell, she was definitely as old as she looked unlike me, 529 and I still looked not a day older than 21. Well the scar aged me, but I would have looked that olds if it hadn't been for that.

"Sorry, as you probably guessed I'm not from around here" i looked at her using magic "You should be careful when you do that, for all you know I could have been a mortal", she wasn't very good at using fire so I summoned some in my hand, it was a decently sized fireball. I wasn't as good at fire as I was at water or air... but I was pretty good anyway. I had been doing magic for at least 517 years now.

"Cairi" I replied "Cairi Blue, and I appologise for the lecture, I teach magic. I have to say that practically every day." I looked at the scottish girl "What kind of magic do you do? My first guess would be elemental but then again adept pretty much covers everything nowadays"

"Ok" I replied "You know anywhere round here that's safe?". I thought about the meeting I'd set up. Another stuck up sorcerers child. I could miss it.

I walked in, looked around and sat on a crate "so, I forgot to ask what your name is." Her long red hair didn't shock me. It was worn in a standard Scottish style so I had seen it many times before "I appolosgise if it seemed rude or me"

"I've heard of it" I replied "never seen it myself though I guess you have it seeing as you bought up the subject" I looked at her expression. I knew I had a tendancy to seem, uncaring or thoughtless in my actions.

"Well, it's a gift use it wisely" I laughed "god I sound so old nowadays! I can remember feeling old at seventy! How little I knew then" I smiled at her sensing her unease "I'm an elemental, I prefer water and air to fire and obviously earth, I'm a bit older than I look"

"Cairi" I repeated my name again "and I had someone who wanted me to teach their child magic. I didn't really like them."

"Poor her" I tried to stop myself from laughing, it was a bit of an understatement "So... Have you reached the surge yet?"

OOC: the surge is when a sorcerers magic settles on eiter adept or elemental.

"It's generally between age 17 and 22" I replied "so you haven't got long left I'm guessing" I noticed a shift in the light coming from the high windows from the roof. I ignored it. I was really getting old. "Now I'm even seeing things" I thought out loud.

The air shifted around me to my will and I carried myself onto a high beam to see what was there. "What does your friend look like?" I asked her looking at th silhouette I could see.
